Instructor for creative workshops and guide at the Morning Club

Viktorie

Viktorie is a teacher at the morning club in Braníček. She leads programs for the youngest children, creative workshops, and supports children’s development in a peaceful environment in Prague 4. Viki is fluent in Czech, English, and German, and can also offer German lessons for children upon request.

My Story

My name is Viktorie, but most children and parents call me Viki. I was born into a large and lively family with seven siblings, where laughter, movement, and constant action were part of every day. Taking care of my younger siblings was a natural part of life for me—at the time, I didn’t even realize I was already learning the foundations of the work I love today.

Gradually, I realized that working with children fulfills me more than anything else. I am fascinated by their uniqueness, openness, and natural curiosity. Every child has their own rhythm, temperament, and way of exploring the world. My mission is to be a safe and kind guide for them in that process.

The Path to Professional Childcare

Babysitting within the family gradually became my profession. I started working as a nanny for various families, where I gained experience with children of all ages—from infants to school-aged children.

I learned an individual approach, communication, emotional support, creative ways of motivation, and also that true care begins with patience and respect.

I strive to be someone who can calm children down, encourage them, and make them laugh. Someone they can trust.

How I Joined Braníček

I was brought to Braníček by the owner, Zuzka, for whom I had already worked for over two years as a nanny in her agency Susie’s Babysitting. I love the approach here—no rush, no pressure, just a calm and quiet place where children can develop at their own pace.

I also enjoy the close cooperation with parents, the opportunity to observe the children’s progress, and being part of their small but significant achievements.

At Braníček, I lead:

  • Morning Club for children aged 2.5–5 (Tuesday–Thursday)

  • Creative Workshops for parents and children (Friday)

  • Creative Workshops for children aged 5–10 (Tuesday)

Every program is different, but they all share one thing: children have the space to develop their imagination, fine motor skills, social skills, and self-confidence—all in a playful and natural way.

What I Enjoy Most About My Work

I enjoy watching a child gradually grow—how they gain new skills, how they become more confident, and how they find joy in creating or playing.
I love it when children laugh, when they ask questions, when they create, when they focus, and when they discover. Every day brings something new.

In the creative workshops, I love the moments when children truly immerse themselves in the process, relax, and let their hands “speak” for them. It’s wonderful when they leave proud of their creation—but I’m even happier when they leave in a good mood and with the experience that creating is a joy, not a duty.

My Approach to Children

My style of working with children is based on:

  • calmness and patience

  • understanding individual needs

  • kind communication

  • clear, safe boundaries

  • creative guidance

  • respect for each child’s pace

I believe that children thrive where they feel accepted. Where no one pushes them, but at the same time, someone clearly guides them. Where they can laugh, create, be angry, try things over and over again… simply be children.
