Summer Holiday Childcare in Prague 4
In our Kids Club for children from 2,5 to 8 years old
Whether you need childcare for a few hours, a single day, or the entire school holidays, we offer flexible bookings to suit your family’s needs. ⭐
At Braníček, children spend their holidays in a small group of just 4–6 children. This allows us to provide a calm, welcoming environment, plenty of individual attention, and a programme tailored to the interests, ages, and needs of the children attending each day.
Why choose individual lessons?
- Personal approach – the tutor responds to the child’s strengths and weaknesses.
- Fast progress – the pace of learning is guided by the child’s needs, not the group.
- More space for communication – the child speaks and experiments without hesitation.
- Flexibility – lessons can be scheduled according to the family’s timetable.
- Supportive environment – a safe and friendly place where mistakes don’t matter and learning is a joy.
I build every session on a combination of English, logical thinking, and supporting sensory perception through creativity.
English
English opens up the world to children – and I help them discover it in a playful and natural way. Children can look forward to a playful introduction to the language – songs, rhymes, reading, simple conversation, and vocabulary building. The goal is for the child to feel confident in English and discover the joy of communication.
Math and Logic
I enjoy discovering the magic of mathematics with children in a playful and natural way. I believe that learning doesn't have to be boring and that math can be fun and meaningful. I guide children from 4 to 8 years old so that they gradually develop logical thinking and skills they will use not only in school but also in everyday life.
Creativity and Art Therapy
I see creativity as a natural way for children to express their emotions, process experiences, and discover themselves. I offer space for imagination and relaxation through painting, modeling, gluing, and sensorimotor activities that support the child's self-expression while developing fine motor skills.
Who will lead your child?
Hi, my name is Zuzka Hrubcová and I have been working with children for over 15 years. I studied preschool pedagogy not only in the Czech Republic but also in the UK, thanks to which I have a very unique combination of education and practice in both the Czech and British preschool education systems.
You can read more about my education, experience, and life journey below, but you might be more interested in how I work today.
In my work at Braníček, I combine the best of both worlds – a structured approach to skill development and, at the same time, a respectful, sensitive approach to each child as a unique individual.
I specialize in working in small groups or individually, where there is space to truly perceive the child, their pace, strengths, and areas where they need support.
The topic of children with different needs is also very close to my heart – whether it’s higher sensitivity, gifted children and their individual plans, or symptoms of children with ADHD. I myself was diagnosed with ADD a few years ago and I am the mother of a son with ADHD, who teaches me every day to see the world through his eyes, to look for new ways and adapt my approach so that the child feels accepted and can fully develop their potential.
In individual lessons, I therefore emphasize not only the development of key skills (speech and language play in both the native language and English, fine motor skills, development of logical thinking, communication, emotional regulation, and overall preschool readiness), but above all the relationship, trust, and joy of learning. I believe that children grow the most in a safe and supportive environment.
My education and professional path
I spent a total of 8 years in England. After completing the field of Early Years, during my subsequent bachelor’s studies (English as a Foreign Language), I worked for 3 years as a Supply Teacher for an educational agency that sent me to various British nursery and primary schools – both state and private, often to a different environment every week.
Thanks to this, I had the unique opportunity to get to know dozens of schools, different teaching styles, and approaches to children in practice, while gaining a deeper overview of how differently children can react to these approaches. Only today do I fully realize how exceptionally valuable this experience was.
After finishing my life stage in England, I spent about 2 years traveling through Southeast Asia. Subsequently, I worked as a Holiday Nanny in luxury resorts in the Austrian Alps, where I had the opportunity to care for the children of international clients.
This experience gave me a broader international perspective and valuable practice in working with families from different cultural backgrounds.
- After returning to Prague, I spent another 2 years at the prestigious international school Park Lane International School, in the Nursery class, which also teaches according to the British EYFS educational framework.
- Later, I also completed a TEFL course focused on teaching English to children for whom English is not their native language. Thanks to this, I can teach English naturally, in a playful way, and at the same time systematically so that children make real progress.
In 2025, I fulfilled my long-held dream and created a space where I can now fully develop everything I have learned on my journey.
It will be a great pleasure for me to guide your little explorers through one of the most important periods of their lives.
Every child is an original – and sometimes they need something completely different from others!
- I offer to design an individual lesson exactly according to your child's needs and interests.
- Whether you are looking for support in a specific area, the development of a specific talent, or gentle guidance in managing emotions or changes, together we will create a program that makes sense for your child. It can include:
- - individual English lessons
- - development of graphomotor skills and preparation for starting 1st grade
- - development of pre-mathematical skills and logic for gifted children,
- - sensory perception and emotional regulation through art activities, or
- - gentle learning of relaxation techniques for children with hyperactivity (ADHD), with which I have extensive personal experience.
- The goal is for the child to feel safe, develop with joy, and have the space to be themselves.
At Braníček, my goal is to offer individual lessons that allow children to develop naturally, with joy, and without the stress of a group, which does not suit all children.
Price of Individual Lessons
I design the lesson for you individually based on a consultation with you, so the price also corresponds to its content, length, and frequency. As a guide, you can expect a price of around 500 CZK per 60-minute lesson.
Write to me, I will be happy to prepare a tailor-made lesson for you
Who will care for your children?
During the summer, the children at Braníček will be cared for primarily by Viki, an experienced teacher and nanny who has worked with children of various ages. Depending on the number of children attending, a second teacher or nanny may also be present to ensure an individual approach and that each child receives plenty of attention.
Na některých dnech se do programu zapojí také Zuzka, zakladatelka Braníčku a Susie’s Babysitting.
Frequently asked questions:
Who Is Our Summer Holiday Club For? ⭐
Our Summer Holiday Club Is Right for You If…
Your child is between 3 and 8 years old, or up to 12 years old if they are happy to join a programme designed mainly for younger children.
Whether you’re working during the summer or simply fancy a little well-deserved break, we’re here to keep your child happy, engaged, and having fun.
Your child would feel more comfortable in a small, friendly group rather than at a large holiday camp with lots of children.
You’re looking for a calm, nurturing environment, where your child receives plenty of individual attention.
You’d like the freedom to book individual days or half-days, rather than a full week.
Can siblings of different ages attend together?
- Yes. We adapt our programme to the ages, interests, and needs of the children attending each day.
- Because our groups are small, siblings of different ages can comfortably attend together and enjoy the programme at their own level.
- We adapt our activities so that both younger and older children can enjoy them.
How Does Teddy Eddie® English Work During the Summer?
As part of our summer programme, children also enjoy licensed Teddy Eddie® English sessions—a fun and engaging method that teaches English naturally through stories, games, movement, songs, and everyday communication.
Unlike our regular year-round courses, there is no need to attend every week or book a full week during the summer. Each Teddy Eddie® session is designed to stand on its own, so children can join on individual days whenever it suits your family and still enjoy a complete, engaging learning experience.
Summer is also the perfect opportunity to experience Teddy Eddie® before the new school year begins. Instead of attending just one short trial lesson, children can enjoy the method over several different days, giving them time to become familiar with Eddie and the activities. Parents, in turn, gain a much better understanding of how the programme works and whether this style of learning is the right fit for their child.
For this summer, we’ve created a special Teddy Eddie® on Holiday programme packed with six exciting themed adventures. Together with Eddie the Teddy Bear, children will explore, play, and learn English through fun-filled journeys such as:
- Garden barbeque
- An adventure at the lake
- A treasure hunt in the forest
- A bike ride
- Trip to the city
- A fun day of cooking in the kitchen
Each session features a different theme, with new stories, games, songs, movement activities, and creative projects. Rather than repeating familiar material, children enjoy a completely new summer programme specially designed for the holiday season, making every visit a fresh and exciting experience.
If you’re considering enrolling your child in a regular Teddy Eddie® course from September, our summer programme is the perfect way to experience the method first-hand—completely commitment-free.
More about the Teddy Eddie® method here
- Our new licensed Teddy Eddie® English programme is included as part of the morning activities.
- There’s no need to attend regularly or book a full week. You can simply choose the days that work best for your family.
- Each Teddy Eddie® session is designed to stand on its own, allowing children to join at any time. Throughout the summer, they naturally develop their English through games, stories, songs, and movement-based activities.
Flexible Attendance to Suit Your Schedule
- Choose a morning, afternoon, or full-day session—whether it’s just for one day or on a regular basis throughout the summer holidays. Book as often or as little as it suits your family.
- Children can be picked up at any time during the day, giving you complete flexibility to fit your schedule.
- If we’re out on a trip or away from the club, parents will always know where to find us. We share our live location so you can easily see where the group is throughout the day.
